Dwarves....WIP..

Working on and off on Dwarves....Some of the better miniatures from this range.  This is one of my standard bearers.

More Wargs !!

White Council

Not 100% happy with these pictures.  Need to fix the settings on the camera/lightbox.  Looking into a Macro lens as well.  Anyhoo...here is what I have done from the White Council.

Theoden and the Wargs

Trolls!

Two Towers: Elves at Helm's Deep

Some of may favorite miniatures from the GW line.  I have a bunch more to paint.  Very time consuming.

Gondor Tower Finished!

Finally finished it.  I am very happy with the results.  I am going to create a base for it, and add some more debris.  As soon as I can, I will take some pictures with some troops in it for scale.  A lot of Apoxie Sculpt went into this project.  Comments welcome.

Tower Update

Been busy with a lot of real life stuff, so the hobby stuff has taken a back seat.  I had some time, so I went back to work on this.  I primed the whole tower with Krylon Flat Brown.  Once it dried overnight, I began to paint the tower.  I used an overbrush of Bestial Brown, followed by drybrushing Bubonic Brown and then Bleached Bone.  With a project of this size, I did not actually use the GW colors, I ended up using craft paints to create the colors.  I still need to add a bit more Bleached Bone, followed by white.  I want this to look like a ruined tower of Gondor when it is all done.

Modifying the Dreadstone Blight ruined Tower from GW

Been working on this piece of scenery for a few days now.  I was not terribly happy with all the details on it, as it puts it directly into the world of Warhammer.  I wanted this piece of scenery to be a little more versatile.

Here is what the original kit looks like.

Here is where I am at right now:

I used Apoxie Sculpt to fill in the areas where I had removed the details with a dremel, files and sanding blocks and sticks.

More to come......

Taking pictures of miniatures

This is proving to be more difficult without my old camera.  Funny thing is I bought a "better" camera, but it s not doing so well with close ups on miniatures.  I will be posting up some test shots of various figures as I try to find the proper settings.  I am using a portable photography box to help get a more "natural picture".

GW Fortress

This is another piece I built up for Jersey Shore Hobby Center.  The fort is split for storage purposes, but can also serve as a display piece if need be.

Commission Work

First up is a GW Warhammer Watchtower that I made for Jersey Shore Hobby Centers grand opening.
